Qualifications
At SENSES Learning Hub website, we strive to unlock the potential of every student through personalised education and creative exploration. With over 20 years of experience working with young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, one of our Directors, Dawn Oughtibridge, brings over 20 years expertise in art, design, and technology, both as a teacher and as a designer. We firmly believe in the therapeutic power of the arts to enhance wellbeing and facilitate communication among young individuals. With our guidance and our commitment to holistic learning, we offer a range of qualifications designed to support and empower each student on their educational journey.
Art Qualifications
As well as the therapeutic nature of creativity, young people who attend SENSES Learning Hub will have the opportunity to gain Arts Award Qualifications. We offer:
- Discover Arts Award Certificate
- Explore Arts Award Entry Level Award in the Arts (Entry 3) (QCF – 600/3894/9
English & Maths
We provide small group tutoring for functional skills in English & Maths. The aim is for our students to leave with qualifications ready to achieve in their next setting and have a solid foundation upon which to pursue further English & Maths qualifications.
Prince’s Trust
We are registered with The Prince’s Trust and through the Prince's Trust Achieve programme, students can enjoy a variety of topics that support personal, social, health and economic learning and includes money management, healthy lifestyles and community projects. We cultivate social, moral, spiritual and wellbeing development in our sessions and students can gain a qualification that provides them with beneficial skills for the future.
GCSE Art and Design Qualifications
Key stage 4 students are invited to further develop their GCSE Art & Design, Photography or Design Technologystudies with us following their schools Art and Design Curriculum & in collaboration with their school's teaching staff.
